My Philosophy on health focuses on balance. Being a mother of two, both under the age of 4 has been a challenge, and trying to be the ultimate mother, wife and student was a huge awakening. Children really teach us more about ourselves and what is truly important in life. So, instead of trying to achieve perfection in all aspects of my life I have learned to find harmony, balance and peace.

Health is really about understanding who you are, what is important to you and how best to achieve that. It is an on-going process, which is why I have a special interest in paediatrics. I believe the best way to succeed in the journey of life is to have the best start possible. This also ties in another focus of mine—women’s health. It goes without saying, if you want a healthy baby, you need a healthy mom.

In the end, balance is about choice and our ability to be flexible. With so much information out there on television and the internet, it can be very confusing to know what is best to achieve optimal health. It is my goal to work with the individual to develop a plan that is both attainable and congruent to what they want to achieve, as well as to help parents navigate through what will undoubtedly be their most challenging and most rewarding endeavour, raising their kids.
